Sir,

The recent earthquake in Gujarat has once again opened the doors of vulnerability of the flats constructed by Delhi Development Authority and exposed the residents to danger in case of a natural catastrophe. As a resident of ____________ (Name) and occupying an H.I.G. flat, the thickness of the walls is so less that cracks have already developed, in the last eight years. In monsoon, the water is seeping into the walls, which needs renovation from time to time.

The area of construction is so less that the building be­comes weak due to shortage of space and the risk is more to the residents of the IInd Floor. All these things project a spine-chilling scenario to the consequences of an earthquake. This is a request on behalf of the resi­dents occupying DDA Flats throughout ____________ (Place Name) to make an inspection of such buildings and alert the residents.
