Assault or criminal force in attempt wrongfully to confine a person:

This section penalises assault or use of criminal force in attempt wrongfully to confine a person. It states that whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any person in attempting to wrongfully confine that person, shall be punished with simple or rigorous imprisonment for a term extending up to one year, or with fine extending up to one thousand rupees, or with both. There must be an attempt to commit wrongful confinement of a person and in doing so the offender must either assault or use criminal force against the victim.
