The provisions of Section 126 shall apply to interpreters, and the clerks or servants of barristers, pleaders, attorneys, and vakils.

According to Section 127 the privilege is granted by the Section 126 is also extended to the interpreters, clerks or servants of the lawyers, vakils, pleaders etc. Whatever is communicated by the client to his lawyer is presumed to be known to his clerk or any communication is made by his client through the clerk to his lawyer. “The interdict provided in Sections 126 and 127 and the protection of the communication embodied in Section 129 are intended to keep the communications confidential as between the advocate and client.” “In ordinary law of agency the above protection is not afforded either to the agent or the principal.”
