The All India Hindu Maha Sabha was formed in 1907 with the objective of protecting the rights of the Hindus. The party later resolved to counter the Muslim League and introduce a sense of discipline amongst the Hindus. The Hindu Maha Sabha would like to establish Hinduism as the religion in India.
The party exists only on paper and has no political presence anywhere in the country. One of its leaders Gopal Godse was felicitated by the followers of Shiv Sena in Pune in May, 1996. Gopal Godse is the brother of Nathu Ram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. He has also served a long prison sentence in the Gandhi murder case.

More or less a defunct party now. The Hindus have been abandoned by all political parties including the BJP. The minorities through their aggressive publicity and their portrayal of themselves as the oppressed community dominate the country. The Hindus have been totally decimated in the Kashmir Valley and no tears have been shed for them. Percentage-wise, their numbers are dwindling, through conversions and strict family planning.
